In Loving Memory of Sam Houston Knives owner, Gene Pipes.
It is with great sorrow we report that the owner of Sam Houston Knives, Gene Pipes, died on October 2, 2017 in Dallas, Texas after a very short battle with lung cancer that had metastasized into his bones, liver and brain. He first discovered there was a problem on July 19th when he broke his arm opening his jeep door.
Memorial Services for Eugene “Gene” James Pipes of Bonham Texas were held Sunday October 8th at B’ois Darc Creek Cowboy Church, Bonham, Texas and October 14th at Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
He was born March 4, 1943 in Beaumont Texas, to parents Eugene John and Doris Pipes. He is preceded in death by his parents. Gene is survived by his sister Rose Marie Rowe & husband Bob, niece Sharon Freeland, daughter Nancy Pipes, daughter Dena Mizell & husband Ken, son Derick Pipes & wife Nikki, grandchildren Britni Hickey, Scout Pipes & Colt Pipes and his precious angel and companion Sandra Wooten.
